Endurance Training Programs

Only a personally structured training program will take into consideration all aspects of your current lifestyle. Family, work commitments, stressors, and general lifestyle constraints all need to be taken into account when structuring your program. So you are prepared when it comes to race day and are able to reach your optimal performance potential.

Strength and Conditioning

Although swimming, cycling, running and kayaking for triathlon and Multisport events are all endurance based, strength and conditioning play their part in the development of the all round athlete. Not only is conditioning a refreshing change in the off session, developing extra speed and strength is critical, as they are needed during key times of a race. Strength, fitness and flexibility will be essential to you fulfilling your ambitions. Building core strength and stability also helps with the prevention of injury when the body gets fatigued. We assess your flexibility, stability, muscular balance and posture and then spend time developing individualised programs to address your weaknesses such as ankle stability, lower back, shoulder girdle and supportive muscle groups which often get overused when you are fatigued.

This is an essential part of any endurance program. Gone are the days of the gym only being for those that want to look good. Lifestyle Fitness Endurance has specific assessment criteria to assess your flexibility, stability, muscular balance and posture and design and individualised program to get you to the start of your race build up in top condition.

Training and Race Nutrition

Training and race nutrition are an integral part of meeting and achieving your performance potential when competing in endurance events. So much so that you can do as much training as you like and still not finish a race purely because of bad nutritional choices. Developing a personal nutrition plan to meet your needs will allow you to formulate a tried and proven nutrition plan which you can use for race day.
